Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Stoneshero LLC — a Wyoming, USA limited liability company and the data controller — collects and how we use it, for both the https://stoneshero.com website and the MyMac application. We designed MyMac to be privacy-first: the app's monitoring and utility features run entirely on your Mac.
1. The MyMac app
MyMac performs its functions locally on your device. System metrics, file scans, window layouts, and similar data are processed on your Mac and are not transmitted to us. The app contacts our servers only to:
- validate and activate your license key;
- check for and download signed software updates.
For license validation, the app sends your license key, a non-reversible device identifier (a hashed hardware identifier), and the app version. We use this solely to enforce license terms (e.g., activation limits) and to deliver the updates you are entitled to.
2. The website
When you visit our website it is served by Cloudflare; standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) may be processed by Cloudflare to deliver and secure the site. We do not use advertising trackers, and the marketing site sets no advertising or analytics cookies; Paddle's checkout may set cookies strictly necessary to process your order.
3. Purchases
Purchases are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. Paddle collects the information needed to process your payment (such as name, email, billing address, and payment details) under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive limited order information from Paddle — such as your email address, the product purchased, and a transaction identifier — which we use to issue your license and provide support.
4. License records
We store your license key, associated email, purchase tier, and activation records (hashed device identifiers and timestamps) in order to operate the licensing system and provide support.
5. Email
We use your email address to deliver your license, respond to support requests, and send essential service messages (for example, a license you requested via the account page). We do not sell your data.
6. Service providers
We share the minimum data necessary with a small set of processors that help us operate, each bound by their own privacy commitments:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, the licensing API, and content delivery (processes request logs to deliver and secure the service).
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) — our Merchant of Record, which processes payment, billing, invoicing, and tax.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (for example, sending your license key).
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
7. Legal basis (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: performance of a contract (activating your license and delivering the updates you're entitled to), legitimate interests (securing our services and preventing abuse), and legal obligation (retaining order and tax records).
8. International transfers
The providers above may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — implemented by those providers.
9. Data retention
We retain license and order records for as long as needed to support your purchase, comply with legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes.
10. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. For payment data held by Paddle, you may also contact Paddle directly.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the rights to data portability, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights to know what we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them — and, as noted above, we do not sell your data.
11. Children
The website and Software are not directed to children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
13. Contact
